Dr. James Bloom grew up in Maryland, just north of Washington, D.C. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in biophysics from Brigham Young University. He went on to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland and received a National Health Service Corps scholarship from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He proceeded to sunny Fort Myers, Florida, where he practiced as a general dentist the next four years.
After practicing in Florida, Dr. Bloom moved to Brooklyn, New York, to undergo his specialty training in orthodontics at Maimonides Medical Center. While there, he also performed extensive research into a novel use of 3D printing in orthodontics and received a distinguished award from the American Association of Orthodontists for that work.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Bloom loves spending time with his wife and three children. They enjoy playing soccer, baseball, and all types of board games as a family. They look forward to exploring beautiful Colorado and all that the mountains have to offer. Dr. Bloom also has a love of art and enjoys sculpting in clay, sand, and even pumpkins when he can.
