Dr. Krystal Baumgartner was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. She then moved to Denver where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2009.
Dr. Krystal decided to do a one-year general practice residency in hospital dentistry in Nashville. Knowing that she wanted to specialize in orthodontics, she was more than excited to be accepted into the orthodontic residency program at Saint Louis University, where she earned an orthodontic certificate and Master of Science in 2012. Dr. Krystal chose to return to Denver upon completion of her residency and feels very fortunate to have found a great orthodontic practice to be a part of.
She received progressive training at Saint Louis University and gained skills in the latest advances in orthodontics, including soft-tissue lasers, mini-screw implants, cone-beam CT, indirect bonding techniques, and Invisalign®. Dr. Baumgartner has been practicing as an Orthodontist in the Denver area for seven years. She enjoys being part of a multi-doctor practice where they are constantly collaborating and finding ways to learn and improve as doctors for the best patient care.
She is a member of many professional organizations, such as the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, and has appeared in nation publications representing the AAO.
In her personal time, she enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors, taking advantage of all the activities Colorado has to offer during all the seasons. She loves road biking, skiing, hiking, and most of all, traveling around the world exploring new places with her husband!
